Staff in the Safe Haven Advanced Care Unit bring a special blend of expertise and compassion to assist residents and their families dealing with the latter stages of Alzheimer's Disease and related demintia disorders. The staff is trained to deal with residents’ complex physical, emotional and mental health needs, and they have received specialized training in feeding, pain management and compassionate end-of-life care. Our nursing team ratios are among the highest in Rhode Island as well as the country. Individualized care plans are developed for each resident to enhance functioning, accommodate personal preferences and reduce symptoms. You can be assured that each person receives love and attention every day.
Residents in our Safe Haven Gardens unit are assured priority placement in the 41-bed Advanced Care unit and individuals coming from home or other facilities are admitted when space is available.
