Julie Richard, NHA, MA, Executive Director/Administrator:
Julie is Chair of Carelink, a member and past president of Leading Age of Rhode Island, a member of the Pace of RI Board of Directors, a member of the Rhode College of Health Care Administrators, President of The Seasons (Ocean State Assisted Living) and President of Rhode Island Nursing Home Group Insurance. She has worked in various nursing home settings for more than 25 years, both for profit and not for profit, bringing extensive leadership experience to her role at Steere House. Julie earned her masters degree in Health Care Administration from Framingham State and her bachelor's degree from Providence College.
Aman Nanda, MD, CMD, Medical Director: Dr. Nanda is a practicing geriatrician and board certified in internal medicine. He received his medical degree from RNT Medical College in Rajasthan, India. Dr. Nanda completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. An Associate Professor of Medicine, he is a faculty member at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program.
Nadia Mujahid, MD, TCU Medical Director: Dr. Mujahid is a leader in geriatric orthopedic trauma at Rhode Island Hospital and a 2012 Hartford Scholar. Her role at Steere House includes direct patient care services, clinical coordination and education, as well as Steere House staff development.
Dianne Bourget, Director of Finance: Dianne has been with Steere House for more than 10 years and has over 20 years of experience in the health care field. She has held diverse positions in long term care, as Admissions Coordinator, Payroll and A/R Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant. Dianne began her career at Steere House in 1993, leaving in 1995 upon the birth of her third child. She returned in 2001 as Co-Business Manager, becoming Director of Finance in 2005.
Nicole Plante, RN, BSN, CRRN, Director of Nursing: Nicole is a senior level nursing executive who oversees the quality of nursing services to all residents and patients at Steere House. She graduated with a BSN from Salve Regina University in 2001. Nicole has dedicated her career to long term care, starting as a CNA and later becoming an RN and working her way up through management positions. Nicole is a member of the Seasons Board of Directors. She is a strong advocate in encouraging further education with her staff and has had the pleasure of witnessing many transitions from CNA’s to nurses and LPN’s to RN’s. Nicole has been Wound Care Certified (WCC) in the past and became a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse in 2011 (CRRN).
Nursing Leadership Team: Steere House is proud of our depth in expertise and credentialing within our Nursing Department. Our management team in clinical/nursing includes:

Nursing Supervisors and Specialist: Sue Berto, RN, Sherri Coogan, RN, Danielle Lewis, RN, Tara Sullivan, RN, Transitional Care Unit Coordinator
Denise Trimble, RNC, MDS Coordinator: Our long time Director of Nursing at Steere House, Denise embraced her new role in 2011 providing clinical expertise required for the management of the resident/patient Minimum Data Set assessment (MDS) process. A critical function in quality patient care planning and services, each assessment requires the contribution of the interdisciplinary team. Denise also is responsible for the communication and case management for our rehabilitation services with a variety of insurance companies.
Lisa Ballantyne, BSW, Director of Social Services: Lisa is an experienced social worker with both hospital and long term care leadership. Her background includes social services, discharge planning, admissions and marketing. As a licensed Assisted Living Administrator, Lisa has insight into many aspects of elder services in the community and the relationship of these options in rehabilitative services.
Stephanie Dean, Admissions and Marketing Coordinator: Steere House welcomed Stephanie in the spring of 2014 to support administration and admissions coordination. In this capacity, she demonstrated a commitment and understanding of the admissions process and its importance to the Steere House mission. Promoted to her new role in 2015, Stephanie’s skills will serve her well as she supports families and health care partners gain access to Steere House’s long term and rehabilitation services.
Gina Williamson, Activities Director:
Gina plans, schedules and provides for individual recreation and socialization. She has received her certification as an activities professional in gerontology from CCRI and is certified by the Alzheimer’s Association training program for caregivers. Her work includes volunteer coordination, including student work-study placements. Gina has been employed at Steere House since 1993.
Jill M. Fallon, MBA, Fund Development Director: Jill is a ten-year fundraising professional. Since 2009, she has created and managed an integrated mix of fund development programs, consisting of annual appeal campaigns, grants and special events for Steere House. All of which have become effective income-generating programs. Jill has a strong marketing communications background and supports Steere House marketing programs as well.
Morrison Senior Services Team
In the fall of 2008, Steere House partnered with Morrison Senior Services to assume responsibility for key operating functions, including dining, plant maintenance and house-keeping services. By partnering with Morrison, Steere House has benefited from their systems and operations expertise, management oversight and purchasing power, as well as the emergence of career growth opportunities for some of our in-house staff members.
Karl Kuhn: As Environmental Services Director for our community, Karl oversees maintenance, housekeeping and laundry services. He is an experienced health care professional who is able to bring his experience in facilities management to Steere House.
Marcia Murphy: Marcia arrived at Steere House as a high school student and is one of our longest tenured team members. She demonstrated leadership in her transition to Morrison Senior Dining Service,s gaining new skills in dietary management. Working her way through all positions in our Dietary Department, Marcia’s commitment to our residents is remarkable.
Rehabilitation Services by Innovation/Carelink:
Kim Morse, COTA/L, Team Leader: Kim is an experienced therapist and manager, providing solid coordination of Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapies for both long-term and short-stay individuals. Innovation Rehabilitation Services is a division of Carelink of Rhode Island (of which Steere House is a founder member). Many Innovation therapists have called Steere House “home base” for many years and we are proud of our team’s longevity and skills to achieve wellness goals of all individual seeking rehabilitation services.
