Volunteer
Volunteers are an important part of what makes Steere House such a special place. As a volunteer, you can bring even more of that special human touch that is such an important part of the care of our residents. Volunteering at Steere House promises to be a rewarding and enriching experience. As a supplemental resource for our residents, their families and staff, volunteers became part of the fabric of Steere House and that uplifting spirit that is our hallmark.
Steere House leadership includes a volunteer Board of Directors. Read our Board Member Spotlight on John Stamp, recent AFP Partner in Philanthropy honoree, in our Fall 2009 Newsletter now; 2009 Fall Newsletter (pdf)

And our volunteers are well cared for too. To show our appreciation and to continue to build our community of volunteers, we hold an annual volunteer appreciation event, sometimes themed as an entertainment awards dinner, that is enjoyed by all and a wonderful way to say "thank you" from Steere House.
Many opportunities for volunteers are available at Steere House, including opportunities to volunteer at one of our events. Whatever your interest, we will strive to accommodate you. Please contact Gina Williamson, Activities Director, at
